Márta Fehér is a Doctor of Philosophy (DSc), a professor at the Department of Philosophy and History of Science since 1965, having been the head of the department from 1989 to 1999. She has worked as a guest lecturer at ELTE, St. John's University, Rutgers University and the International Training Center (IUC) at Dubrovnik, and as a tutor in the Invisible College. She is a founder of the Doctoral School of Philosophy and History of Science. He has previously been a doctoral advisor to many doctoral students and candidates. Being a member of Class II of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, and of its Committee of Philosophy and Interdisciplinary Committee of the History of Science and Technology, she is an active participant in professional public life. She is also a member of five Hungarian and seven international scientific and professional organizations. She is Editor-in-Chief of Polanyiana and a member of the Editorial Board of International Studies in the Philosophy of Science.
